How'd you pronounce it?

We all know that Linux should be pronounced "lin (as in linen)-ux", thanks to the Wikipedia article on it, but the Debian wiki article isn't so kind.

I was at a friend's house the other day and he said "day-be-en". I've always said it as "deb-ee-en". How do you say it?

I say it Day-bee-en. Even though Deb-ee-en is probably more correct since the creator named it after his girlfriend and himself (Debbie and Ian). Apparently.

Marc says:

Deb-ee- (as in the name Debbie) -un. I'm not sure how anyone could pronounce it day- anything, that makes no sense to me, no matter how many accents I try to imitate.

Well since the whole distro is just a portmanteau of Ian's Murdock's girlfriend (now wife) Debian and his name. Then it's really easy to figure out how to pronounce it:)
